These 1/64-scale mini cars recreate the tuning machines that were popular among trendy young people in the 1980s. The custom details and wheels of the era are faithfully reproduced on the approximately 70 mm bodies.

■Japan 4Dr ①② 1979 model (C210)
This is the treasured Japan 4Dr owned by Wataru Kato, representative of Liberty Walk, also known as “Shakotan★Koyaji.” It is equipped with works fenders, a chin spoiler, and ita-ppane side skirts. It also comes fully equipped with an oil cooler and roll cage. The rear slit fenders are another distinctive feature.
■Sameble 4Dr ①② 1975 model (G610)
This is the rare Sameble. Equipped with the classic chin spoiler, works fenders, and a three-piece rear spoiler, it is a textbook custom build for the Sameble. The fact that the works conversion rather forcefully turned it into a 2-door model also gives it plenty of hard-core appeal.
■Hakosuka 4Dr ①② 1971 model (GC10)
Shortened ride heights really suit four-door cars. The appearance is kept as simple as possible, with only a chin spoiler, which gives it a great look. That said, a closer look reveals subtle differences, such as the sharp-looking headlights and late-model grille. The single-leg roll bar is rare too.
■Kenmeri GT-R ①② 1973 model (KPGC110)
This is a simple custom Kenmeri GT-R. Given the base car, it would be a waste to overdo it, so this may be just right. The exterior is limited to a chin spoiler, while the interior is packed with details including bucket seats, a steering wheel, and a roll bar.
■130 Laurel ①② 1973 model (C130)
This is the treasured “Butt-Ketsu” Laurel owned by Wataru Kato, representative of Liberty Walk, also known as “Shakotan★Koyaji.” It is equipped with works fenders and a chin spoiler, along with an oil cooler and roll cage. The front fenders also feature slits.
■Cresta ①② 1987 model (GX71)
This is the 71 Cresta. Its low stance and stock-style body look great! At first, it seems that the only modification is the ride height, but take a closer look and you’ll see that it has an early-model front end based on a late-model car. It’s a subtle detail that many people may overlook, making it a particularly clever touch.
